Ronald Coleman Chatting, Sr.

Ronald Coleman Chatting Sr., passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Rock Springs Church, Macon Campus, 1415 Bass Road, with Pastor Michael Fuller officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 AM until service time.

Ronald was born in Radford, Virginia to the late Noel and Reva Chatting. After high school, Ronald joined the Air Force and served his country from 1963 until 1969 and served in Guam during the Vietnam War. Ronald retired from Southern Bell/BellSouth in 2001 as a Tech/Engineer/Supervisor with a total of 29 years of service. He was an avid golfer but also enjoyed working in his yard. Ronald was well versed in building/repairing electronics and even built a TV from scratch in the 70’s. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and brother.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Reva Chatting; and brother, Rodger Chatting (Doris).

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Ronald Coleman Chatting Jr, Robert Chatting, Richard Chatting, Regina Chatting Jones (Edd), Joshua Chatting, Michael Chatting, Levi Spooner; grandchildren, Ryan Catoe and Rachel Catoe; sister, Patricia Sowder (Alan); nephews, Chris Sowder, Todd Chatting, and Troy Chatting.

Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
