Steve Hilton Eason

Steve Hilton Eason, 55, died Tuesday, May, 21, 2013 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 at 1:00pm at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery following the service.

Steve was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Rev. Jiggs Eason and Harriett Hilton Eason. He was a lifelong resident of Macon, and a graduate of Central High School. Steve enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always there to listen and share a good story or two. Steve loved to fish and travel. He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Ernie Lee of Macon; his best friend and confident for almost 30 years, Tammy Ratliff; his niece, Shannon and Clay Cleveland; his great nieces, Destani and Danielle Cleveland; his great nephew, Marcus Cleveland; his two half-sisters, Deborah and Rodney Johnson and Donna and Chris Whalen, of Florida; and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Joseph Ernest Lee. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at the Coliseum Northside Hospital ICU who took wonderful care of him these last few weeks.
