Sylvia “Sandy” Louise Bond, 86, passed away on January 1, 2021 at Serenades Retirement Community in Longwood, Florida. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 06, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Cynthia C. Knapp officiating. Sandy was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph Fesco and Irene Dobkiewicz Fesco. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Edwards, and husband Edward Bond. She was a graduate of Wesleyan College and Georgia College and State University. Sandy began her career as an infection control nurse with the Medical Center of Central GA and retired in 1999 as Senior Vice-President. After retirement, she served as Director of the Georgia Board of Nursing in Macon.
She is survived by her children, Dana Dale (Gary) of Byron, GA, Tracy Doherty of Chicago, IL, Philip Bond (Sherylyn) of Apopka, FL, and Susan Rowe (Jim) of Louisville, KY, and nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn MacDonald (Ed) of Harbason, Delaware; brother-in-law, Raymond Bond of Sarasota, Florida.
