Terry B. Cheek, 77, of Fort Valley, GA passed away April 15, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor John Lehenbauer. Due to COVID, all attendees are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing recommendations.
Mr. Cheek was born in Pickens, AL to the late Brantley and Velma Cheek. He resided in Alabama until the age of five at which time he moved to Ailey, GA. He married Carol Crissey in August 1967. Mr. Cheek received an Associate of Arts degree from Brewton Parker College, a Bachelor of Science, Master of Education and Education Specialty degree from Georgia Southern College. He was a member of the Rotary Club, Lions Club, and Optimist Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling. He was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in Perry.
Mr. Cheek is survived by his wife, Carol Cheek; daughters, Michelle Anderson (Scott) and Shelly Yarber (Garrett); grandchildren, Dustin Anderson, Ashley Tanner (Mark), Joshua Anderson, Payton Yarber and Seth Yarber; great-grandchild, Noah Tanner; brother, Alfred Cheek (Lanell).
