Thomas “Tom” E. Stevens, 80, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery with Father Casey Cole, OSM officiating. Flowers are accepted.
Tom was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and raised in Palatka, FL to the late Thomas William Stevens and Emily Brooks Stevens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Meisner Stevens. He served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. Tom was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He served as Past President of the Macon Jaycees, he also served on the Georgia Jaycee Senate. Tom served as Past President of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 443 and Past Commander American Legion Post # 3 and Past Commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp # 18. He served on the Board of the Cannon Ball House. He was also a graduate from the University of GA and loved his bulldogs!
He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Stevens, Kristen Stevens (Tom) Dorety, grandchildren, Jordan, Tommy, Brendan, Emily and brothers, William E. Stevens and Charles R. Stevens.
