William “Bill” K. Winget, C.P.O., USN Retired, 72, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2018. Graveside services will be on Monday, August 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville.
Bill was born in Pensacola, FL to the late William R. Winget and Mary Bell Tillman. He was in the Navy for twenty-one years and received three Purple Hearts. Bill was a lifetime Mason and of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband and father and adored his pets, Maggie, Jordy, and Madison.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Sandra; children, Gina (Chris ) Hicks; Celia (George) Neely; sisters, Barbara Ann Owens, Sharon “PeeWee” (Tommy) Eldridge; brothers, Mike Winget; Hugh Tillman; Harry Casler and several nieces and nephews.
