Passed away peacefully with her two children by her side on Friday, January 25, 2019 in Hoboken, NJ where she was living with her daughter and family. Dottie was born on January 21, 1946 in Montclair, N.J. She was predeceased by her husband, Gary Parker Smith. Dottie is survived by her son Donald Parker Smith (Susannah) of The Cayman Islands, Erin Oates Stehli (Mark), three grandchildren, Meghan, Peter and Grayham Stehli of Hoboken, and her siblings, E. Barry Nann, John G. Nann, Paul M. Nann, Margaret N. Thomas and David B. Nann.
Dottie and her husband lived in several places while he served in the Navy, resided in Windham, NH during the late 70’s and early 80’s and settled back in Madison in 1984 where they raised their two children. As a child, Dottie, summered in Madison which is where she met her husband who lived in the town throughout his youth. There will be a wake at Swan Funeral Home, Madison, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 31. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret Church, Academy St. Madison at 11:00 am on Friday, February 1, followed by interment at West Cemetery.
