

Patricia Barbara Marshall of Madison, Connecticut, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland died February 1st from a long illness. She left behind her husband, Lynn Marshall, now residing in Stamford, Connecticut, a son, John Marshall of Fall River, Massachusetts, a daughter, Anne of Weston, Connecticut, a son David of Scarsdale, New York, a son, Christopher of Wilmington, North Carolina, a daughter, Katherine of Darien, Connecticut, and ten loving grandchildren.
Mrs. Marshall received her college degree from Catholic University and a nurse practitioner degree from the University of Virginia. She worked for the Public Health Department of Washington DC. After that, she spent three years as a nurse at Virika Hospital, a mission hospital in Uganda, East Africa. She was married to Lynn Marshall, an attorney in White Plains, of Chappaqua, New York. She then returned to Africa working as a nurse in Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone for the U.S. State Department for fifteen years. In Ghana, she worked under ambassador Shirley Temple Black. Upon returning to the States, she was hired by Fordham University to head its Student Health Office.
Upon retiring and moving to Madison, Connecticut, she was an avid bridge player and a member of the Garden Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Church Academy Street Madison. Burial will follow in West Cemetery Madison.
