Patricia Ann Newton passed Sunday, February 6th, in Madison of natural causes. She was preceded by her parents, Lucille and Joseph Watson of Madison. She was a loving mother of Scott and Matthew Newton and Grandmother of Aiden and Leith Newton.
Pat sacrificed so much as a U.S. Navy mom. For six months of every year, she was both mother and father to Scott and Matt for seventeen-years. She was wealthy of love and care, giving so much even when she had so little.
Patricia touched the lives of so many. She will be missed by all who knew her, and her family and loved ones take comfort that she is in a better place with past loved ones. She will be remembered for her love of children and animals, as well as for her love of caring for people in need. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears and loved having collectibles of cardinals on display in honor of her mother.
Pat graduated from Daniel Hand High School and worked as a Deli Clerk for Stop & Shop for over 25 years. Pat was 73 years old.
Calling hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home in Madison on Friday, February 18th from 10am-12pm, followed immediately by a funeral service at West Cemetery in Madison on Boston Post Road. All who knew Patricia are welcome to come to pay respects.
