It is with incredible sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of our daughter Randi Jean Young. Randi passed away unexpectedly this past week at the age of 40 due to complications from diabetes. She leaves behind her mother Jean Saller, Stepfather Sven Saller, her Father Randy Young, her Stepmother Cindy Young, her half-sister Lisa, Grandma Johns, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Randi will be remembered for her dry wit, beautiful smile, love of the New England Patriots, especially Tom Brady and her typical but loveable strong-willed Taurus personality. She was a true friend to those who knew her, maintaining lifelong middle school friendships that are still going strong today.
Randi spent her teen years in Guilford Ct. attending Guilford High and SCSU. Most recently she was teaching as well as working in a medical office.
She had a love for animals especially her cat Serenity who has found a loving new caretaker, Jay her landlord.
Randi was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes about 10 years ago and coped with many medical challenges during this time. Despite it all she maintained a positive attitude and dealt with her circumstances with grace and courage.
Randi is preceded in death by Grandma and Grandpa Young, Verna and Rodney, Grandpa Johns, Mickey and her cousin Erika and Uncle Rick.
Our heartwarming memories of Randi will live on and our unwavering love will lift her to soar with the angels. We miss her dearly.
We love you to the moon and back Presh.
There will be a private memorial for Randi in Sylvania Ohio, where she was born.
