Beloved husband of Charlotte. Dear father of Marlene (Jeffry) Donovan, Kenneth (Denise) Szwarc, the late Laura Jean Szwarc, Daniel (Ann) Szwarc, and Karen Szwarc. Loving grandfather of Julia, Kevin, and Nathan. Brother of Gregory (Yvonne) Szwarc, Camille (the late Michael) Lehane, the late Carl (Gerry) Szwarc.
Ernest was a veteran of the United States Army and served from 1960 to 1962. Over the years, Ernest enjoyed growing tomatoes, fishing, boating, deer hunting, snowmobiling, breeding English parakeets, and participating in the bird shows.
Viewing for Ernest will take place on Tuesday September 5, 2023 from 9:30 am until time of funeral mass 10:00 am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church 28353 Herbert Street Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
Burial services with military honors will take place on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 2:00 pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road Holly, Michigan 48442.
