Our deepest sympathy to "Uncle George's" family.  He was a cheerful and delightful human being and will always be remembered in that way.  Uncle George was always friendly and touched the lives and hearts of anyone who knew him.  Not really my Uncle, but known as Uncle George since high school and through my friendship with his niece, Marilyn.  At gatherings, you could see how he looked over his sisters, Jo & Lucille, and how proud they were of him.  It's been a long time since I've seen him, but he will never be forgotten.  God bless and keep you safe Uncle George.

I'm so sorry to hear of George's death.  George, Irene, Sylvia, and Kathy were neighbors and friends of my family going back to the days we lived on Shaftsbury street in Detroit.  Sylvia and Kathy babysat me and had the joyful duty of changing my diapers!   I remember many happy neighborhood gathers with my folks, the Mack's, and the Lesniewicz family.  What a wonderful and funny man George always was.   He had such a terrific way of always making you feel important, he was always interested in what you had to say, and always got such a pleasure out of making you laugh!   With George and Irene, it was once a friend... always friends.   No doubt, George will be missed by so many family and friends.

From John & Dora Kovalick:  We are so sorry for the loss of George.  We enjoyed his company every morning in the car pool to work, as well as being ushers together at St. Vincent.  Due to Dora's poor health we can not pay our last respects in person, however our prayers and thoughts are with George and his family.  God Bless you George.

George was so bright, kind, loving and patient to the end of a life well served. He led by example and will be missed by all that were blessed to know him. We offer our sympathy to those missing his daily care and prayers that he will always rest in peace.

We called him "Uncle" even though he was a cousin -- Mom's first cousin to be exact.  What a friendly and easy going man.  He was a caring listener.  A stalwart supporter of the Lesniewicz family reunion, Uncle George was a primary reason why the event went on for 50 years.  Uncle George brought the ice cream and was often the reunion chairperson and/or the caller for the "bingo" game that the women played.  He will live on in our memories and in the way we follow his gentle example.

So sorry to hear that "Mr. George" has passed away.  When he would drive down Myrtle street and all us kids would ask "Honk your horn Mr. George" because he had what sounded like a Model T horn.  And of course he always did.  Just this past weekend my family and I were at the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and there was Model T and Model A club doing a tour (about 20 of them) and one of the guys honked his horn.  I said to my Sister "hey Mr. George is here" and I told everyone the story of Mr. George's horn.
