Shawn Easton, a devoted husband, incredible father of three, loving stepfather to one, cherished son, brother, uncle, and caring friend, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, patience, and dedication to his family.
Born in Farmington Hills, MI, Shawn was always there for everyone in his life, but his greatest devotion was to his children. He poured his heart into fatherhood, leading with kindness, selflessness, and an unmatched ability to make those around him feel truly seen and valued. Basketball was more than just a game to Shawn—it was an outlet, a passion, and a bond he shared with his kids, dedicating endless time and energy to the sport they loved together.
Beyond being a dedicated father, Shawn was also a passionate entrepreneur. He took great pride in his roofing and construction company, where his craftsmanship shone through in every project. His love for sports cars, particularly the Saleen Mustang, showcased his adventurous spirit and appreciation for style. Additionally, Shawn had a flair for gold jewelry and shoes, often expressing his unique sense of fashion.
To all who knew him, Shawn was the most patient and empathetic soul. His presence brought comfort, his laughter brought joy, and his love knew no bounds.
Shawn was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Janice Lynn Erickson. He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Easton; his children, Mason Easton, Camren Easton, and Kendall Easton; and his stepson, Brayden Lowery. He also leaves behind his father, Randy T. Easton; his stepmother, Wendy Easton; and his four siblings, Randy (Lana) Easton, Daniel Easton, Brian Easton, and Aaron Easton, as well as his step-siblings, Jane Waligorski, Andrew Waligorski, Kathryn Zajchowski, Brittany McLeod, and John Waligorski. Additionally, Shawn is survived by a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Though his time with us was far too short, Shawn’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to call him Dad, Husband, Family, and Friend.
