I am just now finding out about this. Anne was such a great person.  I knew my kids were safe and loved with her at the desk at Amherst Elementary. 
She will be missed.

I was sad to learn that Anne had passed away. It was an honor and pleasure to work with her. She was the heartbeat of Amherst Elementary.   Anne knew her way around the school and community. As a novice principal, she helped me tremendously. And, she always had her priorities straight. She loved her husband and family most of all. I know she is terribly missed. My condolences to all.

George, Hank and Bill, we are so sorry for your loss.  We have such wonderful memories of  you boys growing up and all  the baseball, football games and just our families hanging out.  Ann was loved by everyone.  Thinking of all the children who passed through the halls of Amherst Elementary where every child knew Mrs. Dawson and knew she would help them in any way. Ann was such a sweet soul who always had a smile to offer. She was a Super Hero at AES.  Secretary just doesn't cover it! She was a greeter with a smile, phone wrangler,  nurse, accountant, surrogate mother,  diplomat, referee, copy machine technician,  friend,therapist, confidant,  and so much more. I was Blessed to have worked with this extraordinary woman.

Ann was a great supporter of Amherst students and athletes. I remember her wonderful smile at all sporting events and always enjoyed her wonderful hospitality whenever I visited her and George. Prayers to the family and know that the angels will take care of Ann.

Your mom was a big, and special, part of life at Amherst Elementary School.  She was always so caring and sweet whenever I went in.   Though I saw her through the years at your sporting events, I always thought of her as Mrs Dawson the nice secretary.  
I know she will be dearly missed by many.

I was privileged to work with Anne for many years at AES. She was one of the kindest, most caring, nourishing, loving and welcoming people I’ve ever met and that would be to staff, faculty and every student every day, including anyone that came through the door! No one loved their work family or their family more than she did. She was truly an angel here, and I know she’s taken her rightful place in heaven♥️ 

So very sorry of the loss of this sweet lady.  She was so kind and helpful to me when I came to work at AES for a short time.  Also remember her as I watched her boys and her niece grow up in the community and through church.  I know she will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Dawson was a wonderful lady. She will be remembered as the best secretary as AES. She was always kind and always put the students first. To her husband, sons and grandchildren, hold on to your wonderful memories and know that she's in a far better place than we are right now. Her suffering is over and she will now be your guardian angel. Prayers to all that you will find comfort in knowing GOD knows best and makes no mistakes.

Ann was a true friend to all kids that attended AES in my years Ann son Bill coached my sons she remind in my life as a friend i will miss Ann's smile.

Mrs. Dawson was an awesome lady.  When I first met her at Amherst Elementary she was so kind.  She loved my kids and always cared about all of us. Anne and George became our friends.  

My condolences. I will never forget her being the first person I saw at AES for years. She was a lovely person and I’m thankful I knew her.
