Carolyn Wade Goff

Born on December 15, 1948 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Adolf Wade, Sr. and Violet Tyree Wade.

Carolyn retired as a clerk from Dollar General and was a former employee of Central Virginia Training Center. She was a member of Sandy Bottom Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Goff and a sister, Joyce Wade.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Lyle G. Goff, Jr. of Madison Heights, Kelly G. Smith and husband David of Lynchburg, and Patricia G. Miller and husband Anthony of Madison Heights; six grandchildren, Christopher, Sierra, Zachary, and MacKenzie Miller, Ava Goff, and Robert Smith; two special grandchildren, Aaliyah Williams and Donovan Hinton; her brother, Raymond A. Wade Jr. and wife Frances of Madison Heights; her mother-in-law, Virginia Goff; and a host of other family members and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Ray Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the skilled care unit at Virginia Baptist and to Centra Hospice for their compassion and exceptional care of their sweet wife and mother, Carolyn during her illness.
