It is quite a shock to hear of Cathy’s passing. I send condolences to her family and friends.  The memory I’ll share is of two fifteen year olds sitting in the alto section of the mixed high school chorus at WHS. We were on the end of our row, just one row down from the back. Still getting used to the layout of the high school, I was always running late. Tenth graders just want to fit in and not be noticed. Especially by an annoyed Mr. Z.! So I’d scurry in just before the bell, & jump up to my seat beside Cathy.  Gosh knows how many times the music stand or the folder would get knocked, so one of us would madly grab things  hoping there wouldn’t be a thud or clang . Our nerves would send us into fits of giggles, worsened by attempts to stifle ourselves.  We survived tenth grade  and ended up in the concert choir,  our common goal. Cathy was kind, funny, and a Scouting pal through middle school.
