Deborah Dale Austin Jasiewicz

Born November 19, 1959 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Joyce Tyree Austin of Madison Heights and the late Henry Dale Austin. She was an employee of Harris Tire Company on Wards Road and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Madison Heights.

Debbie served the local community as a volunteer E.M.T. with the Big Island Rescue Squad and briefly with the Monelison and Rustburg Rescue Squads. Debbie was an active Amateur Radio Operator and member of the Lynchburg Amateur Radio Club with call sign, KK4DFV.

In addition to her husband and mother, Debbie is survived by two sisters, Dianne A. Mays and husband Pete of Madison Heights and Patty A. Reese and husband James of Lincolnton, NC; two sons, Michael E. Jasiewicz and wife Laura of Thornton, CO and Jeffrey D. Jasiewicz of Columbus, OH; one niece, Erica Mays; two nephews, Jeremy Mays and wife Rachel; and Josh Mays and wife Kelly; seven great-nieces and nephews, Zack, Jacob, Mackenzie, Lacey, Bethany, Kaleb, and Mason and a special friend, Brandon Turner.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jacob Uthup officiating. Interment will follow at Meade Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside at Northside Baptist Church, 144 4th Street, Madison Heights.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at the home of her mother, 229 Flood Road, Madison Heights.
