Born in Lynchburg, June 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Claude Wilson Zirkle and Hallie Maddox Zirkle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Faye O’Brien and three brothers, Dallas Elden Zirkle, Earl Thomas Zirkle and George Henry Zirkle.
She was retired from Hermle Black Forest Clock Co. and was a member of Gladstone Memorial Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Coleman Hylton O’Brien; one daughter, Barbara C. Peters (Ronnie); three sons, William Gordon Casey, Jr. (Sally), Wayne Anthony Casey (Annette) and David Brandon Casey; She was also blessed with a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Sam Stump officiating.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of her daughter Barbara.
