Born on August 17, 1941 in Pennington Gap, she was the daughter of the late William G. Stacy and Cornie M. Stacy. Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence B. Ford and her second husband, James B. Whitten, Jr.
She retired from Central Virginia Training Center after 35 years of service. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis C. Ford (Linda) and Donald R. Ford (Michelle) and two daughters, Teresa Ford and Derhonda L. Graybill. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be conducted on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Dwayne Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
