Faye Mitchell Parr

Faye is the daughter of Walter L. Mitchell Jr., and the late Louise R. Mitchell.

She is also survived by her only child, Jeffrey Sean Parr, whom she loved with all her heart; three beautiful grandchildren, Samantha Nicole (Nikki) Parr, Addison Littleton Parr, and Logan Sean Parr; her favorite sister, Donna M. Terry; brothers, Tony E. Mitchell, Randy L. Mitchell, and Jeffrey A. Driskill Sr.; and sister-in-law Judy Callaway and husband Jim, who were very special to her throughout her life. Faye is also survived by a number of other relatives and very special friends, all of which she loved dearly, as well as her cat, “Buddy”, who made her laugh, and was always by her side.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, blessed be the name of the Lord.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 4, 2012, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the funeral home, by the Rev. Dan Manly, Pastor of Lakewood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Amherst Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
