He was born in Madison Heights on February 26, 1934, son of the late Joseph R. Knight and the late Mabel D. Knight. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Sandra W. Brooks and a brother Joseph R. Knight, Jr.
Frank was a member of Union Christian Church and retired from Barker-Jennings Corporation. He loved woodworking as shown by furniture that is in his and his family’s homes.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 43 years, Lois B. Knight; a son, Frank M. Knight, Jr. (Shannon); three daughters, Julie Ann Stelle (Larry), Lizette Padgett (Jerry) and Cindy Howard. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, POB 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
