

Born in Allegheny County, February 16, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Orlie Eggleston and Audrey Turner Eggleston. She was a graduate of the Lynchburg General – Marshall Lodge School of nursing and was a retired RN from Sweetbriar College and had also worked for many years at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was a member of Amelon United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her step-son, Earl H. Barber, Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Bryan F. Barber and his wife Lisa and Ben O. Barber and his wife Lisa all of Madison Heights; her step-daughter, Pat Davalos of Maryland; two sisters, Joyce Eggleston of West Virginia and Linda Mullins of North Carolina; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. John Siegle officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
The family would like to thank the staff of Fairmont Crossing and Centra Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to their mother.
