Harold "Joe" Herbert Cornet

Harold “Joe” Herbert Cornet, 72 of Amherst, loving husband of Crena Lynn Cornet, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on February 18, 1950, son of the late Harold C. Cornet and the late Hazel R. Cornet. Joe was retired from the United States Navy having served during Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, riding Harley motorcycles, and gardening. He had played the guitar his whole life and his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandkids. Left to cherish his memory in addition to his loving wife Crena is his daughter, Gina Leigh Bernazky and her husband Stuart; a brother, Herbert Ronald Cornet and his wife Sandy; a sister, Linda Lee Papp and her husband Robert as well as his two grandchildren, Nathaniel Joseph Cornet and Gabriella Sharon Bernazky. A Celebration of Life with military honors will be held at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 3, 2023.
