Hilda Campbell Lloyd

Born in Amherst County, February 29, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Letcher Thomas Campbell and Sara Bradley Campbell. She was an active member of New Prospect Baptist Church and the Pleasant View Ruritan Club where she actively served her community.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia L. Jones and her husband Dorman of Gladstone and Kathy L. Martin of Appomattox; three sons, Harold Thomas Lloyd and his wife Barbara, Raymond E. Lloyd, Sr. and his wife Martha and Joseph W. Lloyd, Sr. and his wife Kathleen all of Pleasant View; one sister, Hazel C. Beard and her husband Clyde of Lynchburg; 16 grandchildren, Tammy Eubank and husband Douglas, Becky Turner and husband Kevin, Susan Rosser and husband John, Jenna Lloyd-Fitzgerald, Tracy Bryant and husband Macky, Teresa Widener and husband Jim, Kathy Post and husband Josh, Daniel Jones, Raymond Lloyd, Jr. and wife Lisa, Jody Lloyd and wife Andrea, Joe Lloyd, Jr. and wife Patricia, Tina Lloyd, Kenneth Lloyd, Glenna Nash and husband Allen, Joe Martin, Jr. and wife Susan and Ray Martin; 32 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Ken Payne and the Rev. Lenn Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in Allwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the funeral home.
