

Born on August 28, 1962 in Covington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Orval Eugene Burrows and the late Clara Ruth Allen Burrows. Jim was raised by Pauline and Jennings Blosser. He was an active member and deacon of Harvest Baptist Church and one of his favorite gospel songs was “The Old Rugged Cross”. Jim also loved Bluegrass Gospel, playing the guitar, and the Rock Band Lynyrd Skynyrd. Jim was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and enjoyed working as a carpenter.
Jim is survived by his wife, April Burrows; children, Lynn Burrows, Kelly Jo Taylor, Timothy “TJ” Burrows (Leeza), Joshua Burrows, Jessica Johnson (Donald, Jr.), Autumn Burrows, and Tara Burrows; eight grandchildren, Annalise Burrows, Sophia Johnson, Donald Ray Johnson, III, Dwayne Johnson, Daimen Burrows, Gabriel Burrows, Raphael Burrows, and Isabella Burrows; six siblings, John Burrows of Jane Lew, WV, Joseph Bland of Petersburg, WV, Evelyn Bland Ours (Ray) of Petersburg, WV, Sherry Burrows of Elkins, WV, Jeffrey “Jeff” Burrows of Elkins, WV, and Samuel Burrows (Misty) of Jane Lew, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Harvest Baptist Church, with Pastor Mark Snowden officiating.
