Obituary of John Raymond Hall Jr.
John “Johnny” Raymond Hall, Jr., 60, of Madison Heights, went to heaven on Friday, September 30, 2022. He was born in Lynchburg on January 25, 1962 to Evelyn Banton Hall and the late John Raymond Hall, Sr. He took his last breath with his sisters Barbara and Ada holding his hand. In addition to his Father, he was preceded in death by his nephew, John Hall (Boots) and his brother-in-laws, Jimmy Cyrus and Jerry Fitzgerald, Sr. Johnny left behind to cherish his memories his Mother, Evelyn Hall, whom he loved; his sisters Linda Chalflin (Bruce), Brenda Melton (Gary), Virginia Wilkerson, Barbara Cyrus and Ada Young; his nephews Bruce Chalflin (Brooke), Coty Chalflin, James Knight, Jerry Fitzgerald (Tracy), Tommy Young; his nieces Brenda Casey, Tiffany Ellgass (Daniel), Tina Anderson (William) and Tammy West (Johnnie). He is also survived by numerous great nephews and nieces. His greatest joy was spending time with his great nephews who lived around him. He loved them as much as they loved him. He referred to them as “his little buddies” (Bruce Chalflin VI, Wesley Ray Chalflin, Waylon Hall and Brandon Casey). He loved watching them play and keeping him company. He loved his Mom and sitting around talking. He loved all the cookouts with his sisters Linda and Brenda, hanging out with his brother-in-laws Bruce and Gary and his nephews Duke, Boots, Bubba and Coty and his niece Brenda. Johnny took pride in his work as a self-employed painter most of his life. He never met a stranger and he often talked about the good times in the past with all of his friends. Our hearts are broken and our lives are changed forever. The only comfort is knowing that he is in heaven with family and friends. He is free from suffering and will be watching over us. He now has a new body again to walk around in Heaven. Services will be private. We love you Johnny with all of our hearts and you will live forever in our hearts and memories.
