Born in Roseland, August 12, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Harry Mills Staples and Mary Elizabeth Gunter Bennett. Judy was retired from Nelson County Social Services after more than 30 years of service. She was a very generous and giving person and was an excellent cook. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, W. Barry Tucker; her son, Scott Tucker and his wife Jennifer of Lynchburg; her daughter, Wendy Tucker of Amherst; her sister, Amber Bennett Hill and her husband Paul of Richmond; her step-father, Richard L. Bennett of Richmond; two grandsons, Colton Tucker and Cody Tucker and her nephew, Jackson Hill.
Private services will be conducted at a later date.
