

Our Lord and Savior opened his loving arms and welcomed our mother, Katherine Inez Eisemon Wright, 95, into her heavenly home after a brief illness at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born, June 11, 1922, to the late Marvin and Lola Eisemon of Madison Heights. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Judy W. Peters and Delores Ann Wright; son, Glenn Nelson Wright; son in law, Richard D. Peters; half-sister, Mary Ransom (Charlie); granddaughter, Tonya Gale Bryan and great granddaughter, Emmy Marie Wright.
She is survived by her son, Carl Wayne Wright (Barbara) Madison Heights; daughters, Linda W. Bryan (Gene) of Strongsville, OH, and Dianne W. Bryan (Gary) of Madison Heights; a loving, devoted, and inseparable sister, Lorine Cash Arthur; grandchildren, Chris Bryan (Marcie), Kim Pugh (Jeff), Aric Peters (Amy), Kristy Landon (Derrick), Chad Bryan (Laura), Jared (J.B.) Bryan (Natalie), Kevin Wright (Lindsey), Lauren Mays (Jason), eighteen great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wright was a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe. She loved gardening, canning, and she was always rooting African violets (which she called her babies) for her friends and family. She also loved challenging her family in a game of 500 Rummy and Croquet and listening to her grandchildren playing and singing Christian songs. She played an important role in caring for her grandchildren. They will cherish every moment they had with her.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at her residence.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 First Baptist Church of Monroe with Pastor Glynn Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
