Kathleen Zirkle

Born on August 28, 1935 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late John Lloyd Walker and the late Lillie White Walker. Kathleen was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Salem. She was an artist, who loved to paint, enjoyed NASCAR, animals, and bluegrass music.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, John Walker.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Dennis Zirkle; children, J. DeWayne Zirkle and wife Tammy, Denise Zirkle, Lori Lawrence and husband Steve, and Beverly Ross and husband Scott; 10 grandchildren, Dennis James Zirkle and wife Brooke, Dustin Paul Zirkle and wife Kacy, Dylan Michael Zirkle, Crystal Lee Lawson and husband Brandon, Kathy Lynn Zirkle, John DeWayne Zirkle, II, Jessica Fincannon and husband Derrick, Levi Lawrence, Felicia Dawn Alls and partner, Andrew Newberry, and Travis Scott Ross; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters, Sylvia Powell and husband William and Patsy Hancock.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor C.K. Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mask and social distancing will be required for both the service and visitation.
