

Born on March 1, 1945 in Burnsville, WV, in a log cabin on Riffle Run, he was the son of the late Brent and Bessie McCauley. Larry served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Archer Creek Foundry after 25 years of service. Since 1987 he has been a Greenhouse owner and could name every kind of tomatoes known. Larry was a diehard Denver Bronco fan, claiming they were #1 since 1962. He also enjoyed grouse hunting with his dog Alvin. His greatest joys in life were his family and especially his grandbabies. Larry was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald McCauley, James McCauley and William McCauley and a sister, Sandra Bailey.
In addition to his wife, Judy, Larry is survived by his son, Jeffrey McCauley; daughter, Stephanie Allen and husband Jonathan; six grandchildren, Grace Allen, Brady Allen, Reagan Davis, Ethan Davis, Amber Toms and husband Wyatt, and Brittane Fulcher and husband Jesse; one great granddaughter; sister, Linda Moore and husband Robert; brothers, Jerry McCauley and wife Debbie and Roger McCauley and partner Chris; special friend, Donnie Baker; his McDonalds crew, Connie and Sam Cunningham and Ed Setzke; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Donald Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be presented by the American Legion Post 16.
