Leona Ellen Gibson

Born on December 7, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, Leona was the daughter of the late Donald Elmer Gardner and Elizabeth Ellen Lancaster Gardner.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Charles Edward Gibson; her daughters, Heather Gibson and Melody Larmey (Peter); her sons, Kirk Gibson and Allyn Gibson; and her cherished granddaughter, Gillian Larmey.

Leona retired after a successful career in retail management. She was well known for her creativity and love of crafting, generously sharing her talents with her family. She taught her children skills ranging from quilting, sewing, cross-stitch, and crocheting to flower gardening. Leona had a deep love for people and devoted much of her time to serving others, including teaching Sunday school and volunteering with Park View Community Mission. Anyone that knew Leona also knew how much she found joy in the holidays, especially decorating for the Christmas season.
