Born August 16, 1954 in Charlottesville, he was the son of Evelyn Stevens Franklin of Madison Heights and the late Lewis Henry Franklin, Sr. Mr. Franklin was a former employee of Davis K, Inc. and attended the Amherst Church of God.
Mr. Franklin is survived by his former wife and friend, Donna (BB) Franklin of Amherst; four sons, Brandon Franklin (Chere) of Amherst, Wesley Franklin (Lindsey), Aaron Franklin (Rebecca), and Eric Franklin (Cassidy); five siblings, Wanda Harris (John) of Norfolk, Cheryl Allen (Houston) of Tyro, Kenneth (DD) Franklin and Carolyn Burr (Edward Wheeler), all of Madison Heights and Michael Franklin (Virginia)l of Amherst and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with interment will to follow at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery on Davis Creek in Nelson County.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
