Lindy Ray Bryant

Lindy Ray Bryant, 59, of Forest, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. He was the devoted husband of Marsha Babcock Bryant for thirty-nine years.

Born April 13, 1952 in Lynchburg, he was the son of Joyce Ann Sprouse Bryant of Forest and the late Lindy Tenner Bryant and was also preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Dawn Bryant. Lindy was the owner & operator of Hanover Engineers and a graduate of Virginia Tech. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Madison Heights.

In addition to his wife and mother, Lindy is survived by four children, Kimberly Bryant Schindler and husband, Richard of Virginia Beach, Tiffany Bryant of Richmond and her fiancé, Gintaras Gelzinis, Travis Bryant and wife, Tara of Seven Lakes, NC, and Justin Bryant and wife, Brittany of Madison Heights and seven grandchildren, Jackson, Spencer, and Harper Schindler, Laila, Titus, and Judah Bryant and Bella Bryant.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Hrabosky officiating. Interment will follow at the Babcock Family Cemetery in Appomattox.

The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2012 at the church and other times at the residence.
