Born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 29, 1949 Randy was a dedicated provider who tirelessly cared for his family. After 36 years of service, he retired as superintendent at VDOT. Randy was an attendee of Clifford Baptist Church and loved his Lord, and his unwavering devotion extended beyond his profession and his love for Jesus, as he prioritized the well-being of his loved ones. His compassionate spirit also manifested in his deep affection for nature and bees, reflected in his membership and past presidency of the Piedmont Beekeepers Association. An enthusiastic hunter, he also proudly displayed his trophies. Yet above all, Randy will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father and friend.
Those left to cherish Randy’s memory include his loving wife of 46 years Gail Maria Valentine; his daughter Erin Valentine; his siblings Keith Valentine, Rosalie Coon and her husband Carky, Mark Valentine and his wife April; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends at Whitten Monelison Chapel on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 5-7pm, with a celebration of life service being held on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at 11am at Clifford Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Jeffrey Campbell.
A graveside will follow at Amherst Cemetery, with a reception to be held after at Clifford Baptist at 1pm.
