Richard Lee Griffin

Born on April 28, 1957 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Richard Griffin and Lizzie Mason Coleman. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Clyde Coleman.

Richard retired from Archer Creek Foundry after 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked at the Grace Lodge and Liberty Ridge. He enjoyed spending time on his pontoon boat, fishing, and staying busy working. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Richard attended Harvest Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by his daughter, Amanda Condron and husband Jeremy; son, Dusty Griffin and wife Sarah; step-daughter, Angel Morris; step-son, Jeremiah Gilpin; four grandchildren, Kayla Condron, Blake Condron, Camryn Griffin and Allison Griffin; three step-grandchildren, Alaina Lawhorn, Ryver Lawhorn, and Lakeleigh Lawhorn; brothers, Larry Griffin and Brenda, Clyde Junior Coleman, and wife Sherry, Danny Coleman and wife Cheryl, and Ricky Coleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 7 pm on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Harvest Baptist Church, 2571 Carter Street, Lynchburg, VA, with Pastor Mark Snowden officiating.
