Roberta "Birdie" "Birdie" Lowe Wills

Born September 1, 1937 in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Percy William Lowe, Sr. and Robbie Campbell Lowe and was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Maybelle Fitzgerald and Ralph and a brother and sister-in-law, Percy W. “Bill” Lowe, Jr. and Mildred. She was retired from N.B. Handy and was a member of Madison Heights Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Birdie is survived by her daughter, Brenda B. Mann of Madison Heights; two grandsons, Kevin Stratton and his fiancée Valerie Raymond and Christian Stratton and his fiancée Shannon Fleischer and many, many loving nieces and nephews. Birdie was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first great grandson, Liam Blake Stratton, who is due to arrive in February.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Bill Evans and Pastor Jay Logan officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
