Shirley Mae Smith Brown, 89, of Lynchburg, passed away, Monday, June 6, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of James Marshall Brown.

Born December 28, 1932 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Lester William and Ethel Tyree Smith. She was retired from Suntrust Bank and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her son, William Marshall Brown and wife Jill of Madison Heights.

Services for Mrs. Brown will be private.
