Born In Lancaster, VA on October 31, 1940 she was a daughter of the late Charles E. Self and Marian Lusby Self. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Madison Heights and also a resident in Madison Heights for over 55 years.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Lynda S. Wells and a granddaughter, Rebecca L. Maddox.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Robert L. Wells, ll. of Carrollton, VA and William R. Wells of Monroe; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 pm Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Terry Wornstaff officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 3:00 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
