

Born December 20, 1949 in Monroe, he was a son of the late Tinsley Coleman Jennings and Susie Elizabeth Campbell Jennings. He was an employee of Rock-Tenn with 37 years of service and was a member of the Monelison Volunteer Rescue Squad and Oakdale Baptist Church and proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Quinn.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kelly Jennings Carmody and husband David of Madison Heights and Abby Morris Jennings of Madison Heights and friend Josh; one brother, T.C. Jennings and wife Deborah of Madison Heights; three sisters, Becky Simmons and husband Larry of Lynchburg, Geraldine Massie and husband James of Goode and Doris Waller of Knoxville, TN; one granddaughter Isabelle Carmody and his mother-in-law, Lucille Hunter of Madison Heights and numerous extended family members and wonderful friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Oakdale Baptist Church with the Rev. Duane Carmody and Mr. Eric Greene officiating. Interment will follow in the Hunter Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the home of Mrs. Lucille Hunter.
