Calvin (Bear) Jones

He was born July 10, 1954. He was a lifelong resident of the Charleston area. He was a good father, brother and friend to everyone and he loved hunting, fishing and people watching.

Calvin is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jo Ann; daughters, Heavenly and Starla, both at home; step-daughter, Dawn Boggess of Charleston; two step-grandchildren, Kayla Slater and Dee Boggess; brothers, Henry Jones of Virginia, Eddie Jones of Elkview and Rick (Carol) Jones of Charleston; sister, Delphia Jones of St. Albans; half-brother, Emil Jones; many nieces and nephews whom he cherished and not to mention more friends than we can ever mention.

We would like to give a special thanks to special “Brothers” and friend, Richard Mollohan, Carry Ellis and William Tinsley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with the Rev. Mike Long officiating.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on hour prior to the service on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to help with final expenses.
