Jacqueline Sue Winfree, 79 of Campbells Creek passed away Saturday November 29, 2014 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston. Mrs. Winfree was born in Boone County on August 29, 1935 to the late Wade & Lois McCormick Payne. She was a 1953 graduate of East Bank High School and was an avid Mountaineer Fan. She formerly attended Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Winfree. She is survived by her son, Mike (Frances) Winfree of Campbells Creek; daughter, Angela (Timothy) Benedict of Dunbar; sister, Dixie Cornell of St. Albans; brother, Mickey (Linda) Payne of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Victor Winfree, Cullen Ayash, Ashley Winfree and Christina Ayash. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday December 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with H.R.. Whittington as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. A visitation with family & friends will be held Monday December 1, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
