

Julia Hall, 100, of Ravenswood, formerly of Chesapeake, passed on to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. Julia was born October 17, 1915 at Talcott. She was a member of the Chesapeake Freewill Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing and praising God. She will be missed at Tudor’s of Marmet, where she was known as “Grandma The Biscuit Queen.” She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Roy Massey; 2nd husband, Wes Hall; daughter, Phyllis Hoover; and two sons, Shirley and Freddie Massey. Julia is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Phyllis Massey of Ravenswood; daughter-in-law, Ruth Massey of Concord, North Carolina; her half-sister, Betty Midkiff of Alabama; and 29 grandchildren. She is also survived by special friend from Tudor’s of Marmet, Kaye Trimble, and other co-workers. The funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2015, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Mark Gerstell officiating. The burial will follow the service at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Floral contributions will be accepted or donations may be made to Chesapeake Freewill Baptist Church, Chesapeake, West Virginia.
