Linda Sue Holstine, 74, of Campbells Creek, went home to be with the Lord on May 26th, 2025, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 7th, 1951, in Charleston, where she lived all her life.
Linda worked as a clerk in various grocery stores on Campbells Creek. She retired in 2020 after spending the last several years at Fas-Chek, where she worked for her dear friends, David Eicher and Lori Kuhn. Linda was a follower of Christ and attended church at Point Lick Gospel Tabernacle. She loved being outdoors and spent many of her days adorning her yard with flowers and décor.
She was married to her husband, Denzil Holstine, for 50 years. In her final hours, she was excited to be reunited with him in heaven. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Isabel Schoolcraft; and her brothers, Carl and Marshall Williams.
She is survived by two children, Shane (Sandy) Holstine and Angie (Bill) Todd; 5 grandchildren, Ty Williams, whom she raised as her own son, Hayley (Nathan) Evans, Emily (Brently) Clay, Shelby and Stratton Larch; her sisters, Pat Williams and Gail Shaffer; and a host of great-grandchildren. Linda is also survived by her dear friends, Cindy and Tom Lowery, as well as their children, whom she considered to be family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastors Charles Hardy and Larry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
A visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the funeral home.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the nursing staff at CAMC Memorial’s 6 Front and MICU who provided Linda and her family with excellent care in her final days.
In lieu of sending flowers to the family, please plant a flower in Linda’s name and think of her every time you see it.
