

She was born in Charleston on March 9, 1942, to the late Elmer and Julia George Young. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Leon Jackson; son, Brian Jackson, stepdaughter, Pamela Jo Phillips; sister, Delores Williams; and brothers, Charles and Larry Young.
Pauline was a homemaker, a member of Loudendale Church of the Nazarene and a 1960 graduate of DuPont High School.
She is survived by her husband, Giles Proctor; sons, Jeff Jackson of Goshen, Indiana, Eric Jackson of Bristol, Indiana, and Terry Jackson of Charleston; daughter, Dawn Taylor of Charleston; stepchildren, Giles Richard King of Richwood, Vickie Bostic and Scott Proctor of Charleston, Terry Proctor of Elkhart, Indiana, and granddaughter whom she raised, Tara Jackson of Charleston; sister, Freda Garten of Oak Hill; brother, Lyle Young of Rand; grandchildren, Joey and Bryanne Taylor of Charleston and Brad, Brandy, Sara, Heather, and Austin Jackson of Indiana; and 7 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2014, at Loudendale Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Frank Goff officiating. The burial will follow the service in Montgomery Memorial Park, London
Family and friends will gather for the visitation on Sunday, November 23, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden.
