Andrew F Gallagher

It is with deep sorrow that our wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away at the “young age” of 87. Andrew passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 12, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Newark, NJ on August 8, 1934 to the late Margaret V. and Ambrose Gallagher. He grew up in Newark, lived in Clifton, Wayne and Bloomfield. Andrew was employed by Hoffman La Roche in Nutley, NJ for 37 years. He retired in 1995, and in 1997, Andy and his wife Marilyn relocated to Manahawkin. He loved playing golf, Atlantic City, card games and his family.

He proudly served in the Army Reserve for nine years.

Andrew is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Marilyn, his loving children, Susan Stern, Dennis Gallagher and his wife Loretta, and Denise Pagnoni and her husband George. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Jenna Pascarelli (James), Gabriele Kretinin (Andrey), Jessica O’Keefe and Tyler, his three precious great-grandchildren, Anya, Sebastian and Mila Kate and his sister, Patricia Bowen. His beloved cat Ally also survives him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 17 from 10:00-11:00 at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin with a Mass to follow at 11:00. Committal service will be held at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ at 1:30pm.
