Frank was born in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy and immigrated to America with his family at 11 years old settling in Newark, NJ.
Frank was predeceased by his beloved parents, Michael & Vita Racanelli and his sister Anna “Nina” Chimienti.
He is survived by his former wife Karen, his present wife Marie and his loving children, Michael and his wife Aileen, Matthew and his wife Madaline, Lisa McClung and her husband Paul and Linda Savvis and her husband Michael. His cherished grandchildren, Giovanni, Anthony, Kayla, Nicholas, Michael Joseph, Michael John, Danny, Matthew, Ava and Lexi, his precious great children, Giovanni and Aiden as well as his sister, Angela Sabarese and his brothers John and Joseph Racanelli, also survive him.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Nino, Frank’s long time caregiver, for the wonderful care she gave to him.
Frank was a machinist; he worked for L & H Corporation., he was also the owner of Frank Racanelli Precision Products.
He enjoyed working in his garden, making homemade wine, taking walks, going to the beach and swimming in the Ocean. He would make his “famous” meatballs for both family and friends. His love for food was only surpassed by his love for his family.
Frank was a devoted father and grandfather. The time he spent with his family was very special to him and he enjoyed every moment with them.
A visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 10:00am-11:00am at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ with a prayer service at 11:00am. Burial will follow immediately at St. Mary Cemetery, Beachview Ave., Manahawkin, NJ
