Lisa Anne Acosta

Lisa Anne Acosta, 65, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024. She grew up in Demarest, NJ, spending summers with family on Long Beach Island, then moving to Manahawkin, NJ where she resided most of her life. Lisa studied nursing at the Ramapo College of New Jersey and went on to get her BSN at the Dominican College of New York. She then practiced nursing for 15+ years up and down the Jersey Shore.

Lisa was known for her warm heart and generosity. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Along with her passion for nursing and helping others, her proudest title was being a mother to her daughter Kristin. Lisa and Kristin were joined at the hip. They enjoyed arts and crafts, baking, and spending time at the beach all year round. Her contagious laugh and smile will truly be missed.

She is predeceased by her parents: Robert James Arnold and Anne Haviland Arnold; and her sister, Kerin “Kerry” Beaton.

She is survived by her brother Keith Arnold and his wife Allison Arnold of South Carolina, and her two nieces & nephew: Georgia, Ginger, and Jackson. She is also survived by her daughter Kristin, her greatest joy, of Washington D.C.

A memorial service for Lisa will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Following a celebration of her life at the same location where family will honor her memory and share stories of her life.
