Lorraine Marie Killen

Lorraine Marie Killen, 79 of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on February 26, 2015 after a five month struggle with complications from open heart surgery. Lorraine was born in Middletown, NY and raised in Jersey City before moving to Manahawkin 12 years ago. Lorraine is survived by her loving husband Robert (Bob) Killen of 58 years and her son Robert Killen and his wife Doo-Sik of Jersey City and daughter Susan Viscardi of Manahawkin and two grandchildren Marissa Viscardi and Zachary Viscardi and her four legged grandson Toby. Lorraine worked for 20 years with the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department before retiring. She was an avid bowler enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, and Disneyworld. She was an active member of her church and community. Lorraine was a volunteer at Southern Regional Intergenerational Council and various church functions. She loved life and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Thursday from 3-6PM at the Thos. L Shinn Funeral Home 10 Hilliard Dr Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 11:00AM at St. Mary of the Pines, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
