Phyllis A Joe

Phyllis is survived by Robert, her beloved husband of 53 years. She is also survived by her loving children, Chris Joe and his wife Laura Jaworski, Jackie Harrison and her husband Jason and his children Brianna, Brandon and Lucas. Additionally, Phyllis was exceptionally close to her sisters Donna Entwistle (Frederick), Rose Reinhold (Gustave) and Victoria Carullo (John). Phyllis shared a loving relationship with her nieces Sarah Reinhold, Erin Entwistle, Jennifer Quick and nephews Mark Reinhold and Michael Carullo.

Phyllis had a varied and extensive background working in the medical and educational fields as an administrative assistant. Phyllis’ special talents included editing and proofreading books for professors (Syracuse University) and doctors (Highland Hospital), Rochester, NY. Before retiring, Phyllis was the executive administrative assistant to the President of McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, NY.

During retirement, Phyllis enjoyed visiting her children as well as trips to Savannah, GA and Los Angeles, CA. Among Phyllis’ greatest joys was spoiling her canine family members Jasmine (basset hound) and Nikki (beagle). Moreover, Phyllis was an ace Scrabble player and Jumble devotee.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00am-11:00am on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ, with a Mass to follow at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis’ name may be sent to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Lollypop Farm Humane Society of Greater Rochester.
