AGE 84 Barnegat
After a full and wonderful life Shirley was called home to our Lord, Wednesday October 21, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 15,1931 In Collingswood New Jersey where Shirley met the one and only love of her life Kenneth Snow. Shirley and Ken moved with their family to Long Beach Island in 1963 where her creativity bloomed as the owner of Ted-E-Bear and SeaWinds Flower and Gift Shop where ordinary flowers became grand masterpieces. Shirley was a devoted parishioner of Island Baptist Church where she served for many years as the treasurer, and cherished her church family. Shirley was passionate about gardening, crafts, playing bingo and her ever growing family both near and far. She will be met in Heaven by her parents C. Walter and Myrtle Lofft, brother Charles Lofft and her loving husband Kenneth Snow. She leaves behind her children Robert Snow (Nancy), Barbara Mueller, Jill Scheimreif (Gary) and Brenda Snow. A devoted Nana to seven grandchildren; Christopher (Susheela), Devon (Rob), Kari Ann (Anthony), Sara (John), Brian (Jessica), Juliane (Tom) and Cody Kenneth. Shirley was also a dedicated G-Nanny to Chloe, Alex, Neela and Talia.
To learn the many valuable lessons from our ShirleyGirley in her 84 years was a true gift ; “Always do your best,” the value of aesthetics and the importance of being a good Christian, the preciousness of family, a special love for animals, to be a loyal friend and that her famous Ice Cream Diet really should have been patented.
Shirley requested a special Thank You to the many Nurses and Doctors that have cared for her over her lifetime.
Visitation for Shirley to be held at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, Friday October, 23rd 5pm-7pm. Saturday October, 24th visitation to be held at Island Baptist Church in Beach Haven at 10am with church service at 11am to follow. Private family burial to follow service.
Some glad morning when this life is over,
I'll fly away.
To that home on God's celestial shore,
I'll fly away.
